Police Protection

Police protection is provided through the RCMP. Policing services for the Hanwell Local Service District are primarily the responsibility of District 2 Oromocto and J Division in Fredericton. District 2 and covers an area approximately the size of PEI and includes Gagetown, Minto, Stanley, Keswick, MacAdam, etc. See map below.

The Hanwell area is served primarily through the Keswick Office (Oromocto Rural North) with support from all other units when required.

The Hanwell Local Service District Advisory Committee has a representative on the Community Council Policing Committee which consists of representatives from incorporated and unincorporated communities in the District 2 geographical area. The committee meets 4 times a year and is involved in establishing priorities for the policing activities for District 2.

911 Civic Addresses Reflective Markers

The blue reflective numeric 911 signs are extremely helpful for emergency responders when they are attempting to locate specific civic addresses.
