Waste disposal is currently contracted to Trius. All areas in the LSD have a Tuesday pick-up day. You are requested to have your refuse to the road by 7:00 a.m.

There are no longer special days set aside for spring and fall clean-up. You may put out large appliances and furniture on your regular pick-up day. You are limited to one item per month, to a maximum of nine (9) per year.

The exception to this is any item that contains Freon such as refrigerators, freezers coolers, dehumidifiers, etc. These items will be picked up as well but Trius must be contacted ahead of time as special arrangements need to be made for their disposal.

The Company makes these special pick-ups on the last Tuesday of the month. You can contact Trius at 506-459-7300.

Please note that the contractor will not pick up construction materials (lumber, drywall, etc.) or automotive parts and tires.

Also note that in the rural area we do not have specific leaf pick-ups; however they will be collected with the regular Tuesday pick-up if they are bagged properly. The leaves will be disposed of with the regular refuse and will not be composted. So if possible please compost as much as you can in your backyard compost.

Recycling

In the LSD, we have one recycling pick-up per month, on the first Friday of the each month. If you have questions regarding what can be recycled you can contact the Fredericton Region Solid Waste Commission at www.frswc.ca or the Recycling Hotline at 506-453-9938.

If you require recycling boxes you may contact Trius (459-7300) and request that they be dropped off.
