Announcing the Newly Adopted Rural Plan for Hanwell
The Rural Community of Hanwell engaged the Capital Region Service Commission to undertake a redevelopment of its Rural Plan. In January 2023, the communities of Island View and Upper and Lower Kingsclear were amalgamated with Hanwell to form a new municipality. As of August, 2026, Hanwell operates under one comprehsensive Rural Plan.
“Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Hanwell Rural Community has adopted Hanwell Rural Community Plan: By-Law No. 37-2026 and that the By-Law has been filed with the Provincial Land Registration Office.”
