Draft Rural Plans for the new entity of Hanwell
The Rural Community of Hanwell has engaged the Capital Region Service Commission to undertake a redevelopment of its Rural Plan. In January 2023, the communities of Island View and Upper and Lower Kingsclear were amalgamated with Hanwell to form a new municipality. At present, the former LSD of Kingsclear and Hanwell operate under separate rural plans. It is the intent of Hanwell, in collaboration with the Service Commission, to establish a single, comprehensive plan for the entire municipality.
