My name is Burt Folkins. I am a life long New Brunswicker, having lived my early years in a rural community outside of Sussex on an 8th generation mixed farm. I have currently lived in the rural community of Hanwell for the better part of 20 years. I am married with four grown children and six grandchildren, who I am fortunate to see often with us all living in the greater Fredericton area. For most of my career days I was self employed, working in financial services, sales, and in commercial and residential development. In my retirement, I have enjoyed contributing to the world of politics both at the provincial and federal level. I enjoy staying active and busy with volunteering, gardening, building projects, and spending time with my family. I believe in community and in people, and am proud to represent the voices of Hanwell.
