Notice of Intention to Repeal and Replace By-Law No. 11-2016 The rural community of Hanwell Rural Plan and Ministerial Regulation for the Kingsclear Planning Area 06-KNG-041-00
Pursuant to section 15(3) of the Local Governance Act, SNB 2017, c. 18, Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Rural Community of Hanwell intends to repeal By-Law No. 11-2016 The rural community of Hanwell Rural Plan and Ministerial Regulation for the Kingsclear Planning Area 06-KNG-041-00 in their entirety and replace them with By-Law #37-2026 “Hanwell Rural Community Plan” to encompass the entirety of the newly established Hanwell Rural Community.
The proposed By-Law serves to:
- more clearly define council’s roles and responsibilities, and;
- consolidate all existing land use documents into one single, cohesive planning framework that applies uniformly across the entire community.
Copies of the proposed By-Law Amendment may be inspected at the address below between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding civic holidays, or found attached below.

The Rural Community of Hanwell Council will give consideration to the Second and Third readings of the proposed by-law amendment at the May 6, 2026, regular meeting of Council commencing at 7:00 p.m. at Hanwell Place, 5 Nature Park Drive, Hanwell NB, E3E 0G7.
